August 15, 2005The Waterloo Data Fortress Expands
Launched in early 2003, the Waterloo Data Fortress has completed its introductory phase as of Q3 2005 and has become the leading data centre in the Region. This period has created a proven track record of security and 100% reliability for the Waterloo Data Fortress.
The initial launch phase has been very well received by the business community of Waterloo Region, and as a result, the Data Fortress has exhausted its initial capacity.
Based on this success, we have expanded our inventory, increasing our co-location capacity by 300%, from approximately 250 rack units to well over 1000. In addition, upgraded our networking infrastructure by 200% and we have added stronger security policies at the site.
The Data Fortress has made these new investments to take advantage of continued business growth in Waterloo Region, as well as the whole of Southwestern Ontario.
We look forward to continuing to serve our customers and work with our partners to provide innovative, secure, and reliable co-location, hosting, and backup services.
